An evening journal

Every day becomes a star

Rate tonight out of ten. Say more if you like. Your world fills in one star, flower or lantern a night, and a companion keeps you company.

Free, with nothing for sale. Android first, iPhone after.

Ponder's Today screen: the last seven nights as stars across a night sky, a Check in button, and the companion asleep on the hill

The check-in

One number, and you're done

Slide a number from one to ten. That can be the whole thing. If you want to say more, Ponder asks one question, written from what you tapped, never "how was your day?" in general.

Rather talk? Speak instead, and the words appear as you go. The recording stays on your phone.

The check-in: the companion asks how tonight was, above a slider from one to ten

Your world

Something to look back on

Every night adds to your world. Good days sit high and bright, hard ones low and dim, so you can scroll back and see you got through it.

A garden at seven check-ins, a harbour at twenty-one, and new companions along the way. All earned by showing up.

The Timeline in the Wildflower Garden: each day a plant, taller for a better day, with check-ins, average, best and streak below

Buddy

One sky for two

Pair with one person, a partner or a best friend. Your nights and theirs fill one sky, and you look after a shared companion together: dress it, furnish its house, wish for things and say yes.

Your buddy sees that you checked in and your score for the night. Never your words.

Buddy: a week of stars for you in gold and your buddy in blue, and the shared companion on the hill

What stays private

Your words stay yours

Sealed on your phone

Your journal is encrypted before it's backed up, with a key only your phone holds. We can't read it.

Voice stays on the phone

When you speak instead of typing, your words are recognised on the phone, and the recording never leaves it.

A few lines for your questions

To write your questions, Ponder sends a few short lines from your recent days to our AI provider at that moment. We don't keep them.

No ads, nothing sold

Usage analytics are anonymous and never include what you write. One switch in Settings turns them off.
